Service Description: Investigates complaints about services provided by the Ontario government and its organizations after other avenues fail, including municipal closed meetings, school boards, and municipalities and universities * conducts systemic investigations on important issues about government services, which can affect large numbers of people * cannot deal with matters regarding the federal government, private businesses, the courts or judges, hospitals or long-term care homes * Ombudsman is an office of last resort * services are free and confidential * complaints may be made in writing, by email or via the website, by telephone or by fax
