Service Description: Preventive services and treatments for eligible patients are offered at Public Health dental clinics or participating local dentists' offices

Healthy Smiles Ontario (HSO) - No-cost dental program for children and youth 17 and under who do not have access to any dental coverage and who meet the program's eligibility requirements* call the Health Unit for more information about applying for the program

Ontario Seniors Dental Care Program - Eligible, low-income seniors can receive free, routine dental services, such as:
  • check-ups (scaling, fluoride, polishing)
  • repair of broken teeth and cavities
  • x-rays
  • removal of teeth or abnormal tissue (oral surgery)
  • anesthesia
  • treatment of infection and pain
  • treatment of gum conditions and diseases

Application: Call or visit * no referral required * appointment or registration required for certain programs or classes
