Service Description: Guidance and support for people living with mental health or addiction issues and are navigating the criminal justice system * comprehensive and holistic recovery plan, aiming to minimize future interaction with criminal justice system

Includes:
  • Court Navigation and Support
  • Court Diversion - used to divert people from the regular criminal justice stream (minor criminal offences only) into the mental health system for support and treatment
  • Case Management and Collaboration with Community Partners - used to promote compliance with the agreed upon treatment plan for the duration of the Diversion * people who may not qualify for the Diversion process can still receive support, consultation, and referral to other community supports while navigating the court process
  • one-on-one counselling
  • Release from Custody Planning - works with incarcerated people to develop a successful discharge plan, which may include referral to housing supports, substance use counselling, case management or counselling support

Fees: Free
Application: Self, family, probation, or Court referral
Eligibility / Target Population: Adults 16 and over who are currently involved in the court system with mental health or addictions concerns and willing to enter the program and develop a recovery plan

Language Notes: Attempts will be made to provide service in other languages as requested
