Service Description: Aims to strengthen and support families with young children

Involves community residents and agency partners in the development of supports and services that meet the needs of families with young children * information and programs that enhance the healthy development of young families related to parenting, cultural issues, teen mothers, family drop in groups, food assistance, lending libraries
 
Baby Food Bank and Emergency Food Coverage - Emergency service including formula, jarred food, cereal, diapers are available while supplies last * call ahead for supply availability
 
Let's Chat and Play for Newcomers - Discussions about parenting and cultural issues
  • Let's Chat and Play at South London Community Centre (1119 Jalna Blvd ) Thursdays from 10 am to 12 pm
  • Let's Chat and Play Southcrest at St. John Divine Parish (390 Base Line Rd W) on the 2nd Wednesday of the month from 1pm to 3 pm
 
White Oaks Women's Group - Support group for isolated mothers in the community
 
Young Moms Group - Parenting group for young mothers to explore issues and concerns * clients learn about child development, positive parenting, healthy weights, injury prevention, and mental health * clients receive a light dinner, bust tickets, and grocery gifts
