Service Description: Assessment and treatment of children and adolescents between 10 and 17 years of age, with internalizing difficulties, who require more intensive services than available through outpatients but do not require hospitalization

While in day treatment, children and adolescents attend W. D. Sutton School * coordination with the community school is done to help with a timely return to that setting

Internalizing difficulties include:
  • anxiety disorders including obsessive-compulsive disorder
  • mood disorders including depression and bipolar disorder
  • suicidal behaviours
  • psychotic disorders e.g. schizophrenia
  • post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
  • psychosomatic disorders
  • acute symptoms of distress related to family or personal crisis, abusive experiences, and/or experiencing or witnessing of traumatic events

Fees: Most services covered by OHIP
Application: Medical referral needed
